No traffic getting there, family friendly, low price! Just the opposite of Colorado resorts in bridge
Price is amazing. Family friendly. No lines ever!
Black runs are short.

Too bad that Snowy chose to market to Colorado. It’s definitely lost its “hometown” feel. What a shame!
Close to where we live
Use to be an accommodating Mom and Pop resort - no it’s oversold and crowded

I just love this place. It is a great way to get away from people and a great place to ski or snowboard.
It has everything and it is always a great place to go.
I have none.

As a CSU student, it is the best deal for skiing (except for IKON w/ CSU Snowriders). It is only 1.5 hours from campus and if you get there within an hour of opening you will be one of the first cars in the lot. I've never waited more than 2 minutes for the lifts and the backside of the mountain has some great runs that are usually untouched. I've skied on Saturday without seeing anyone around on some runs making it the perfect spot to own the mountain. Snowy Range shouldn't be compared to Colorado resorts because the unpopulated runs, convenience of the location, and cost put it in a category of its own. Highly recommend it to my fellow Rams.
Close to FoCo, best value for CSU Students
Much smaller than CO resorts

My family and I have been going to Snowy Range for the past 8 years while our son attended UW and now lives in Laramie, WY. We have always had a great time and this year was even better. The staff was so accommodating, went above and beyond to help when needed and we could not be more thankful for all they did for us. From renting skis, to providing lessons and even after hours at the bar, we were treated exceptionally well. Thank you to the entire Snowy Range team!
Excellent customer service

This is a family place, with emphasis on wholesome family skiing. It’s not elegant. There is no night skiing and no dinner entertainment (really no dinner). The cafe serves a great variety of hot lunch (with a smile) that is not cheap but not ridiculous either. The staff is friendly and helpful. The skiing is great for a weekend of fun. Challenging but not scary. I grew up skiing here in the 70s, and love bringing my son now. I expect his kids will enjoy it someday too. We travel here from the southeast US, because even with plane fare and rental car, the total package comes out cheaper than skiing in PA or WV, and the skiing is markedly better with much shorter lift lines. How can you go wrong?

Great price and you get access to a mountain that has a little for everyone! Great for beginners all the way to advance skiers! Never has been overcrowded when I've been there, staff is amazing and so us the food.
Cost, variety, and location
Not great for park rats

I love how cozy this ski area is. Sure, it doesn't have the gnarliest terrain, but if you're looking for a cheap ski day with reliable snow conditions, this is the place to be! I also like the vibe of not having any cell service on any of the mountain. It almost feels like this resort is still living in the past. All four of the chairlifts are classic two or three seaters (not express). Even days after a recent storm, I'm able to find fresh snow in the trees. Ski the trees.
Affordable, close to college, almost never wait in a line!
limited terrain to those who are expert snowriders

Great staff that goes above and beyond! I forgot my Ski boots at The lodge after a long day of skiing, and after giving them a call a sweet lady named Anaya answered and volunteered to bring my boots back to Laramie so I wouldn’t have to make a special trip up. Great to work with!
Great staff
